Liverpool are in the midst of a crucial summer with Jurgen Klopp preparing to take charge of his first full season in charge at Anfield, and the German’s overhaul looks set to continue.
According to reports from Spanish newspaper, Sport (via Sport Witness), Liverpool target, Jeremy Mathieu could be available to Jurgen Klopp for a bargain cut price of €10m.
The French international played second fiddle at Barcelona last season and looks set to leave after the arrival of both Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne.
The 32-year-old arrived at the Nou Camp for a fee of £15,8m in 2014, meaning that the reported €10m fee (around £8,3m) would represent quite a loss.
The central defender has made 51 appearances for the Spanish champions since making his move from Valenica.
The Reds are in the market for a defender with Martin Skrtel having joined Fenerbahce and both Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho sidelined for the foreseeable future.
