Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern today have been getting pretty excited over reports that the Reds have re-kindled their interest in one of Europe’s most exciting talents.
Reports from Turkish newspaper, Fanatik, are suggesting that Jurgen Klopp’s side have once again declared an interest in Fenerbahce midfielder, Ozan Tufan.
The Turkish international one made seven appearances last season however has attracted plenty of interest in the Premier League with both Everton and Man United having been linked.
Our astute Landlord pointed out to some Liverpool fans in the bar that, should Klopp make the move for the box-to-box midfielder, it could signal the end of Welsh international, Joe Allen’s time at Anfield as Tufan could be seen as a potential replacement for the Eruo 2016 hero, who’s future is still up in the air.
The potential wonderkid came in for a lot of criticism during the Euros as he was caught on camera tending to his hair as opposed to closing Croatia’s Luka Modric down before he scored his wonderful volley.
Liverpool fans, we want to hear from you! Would you like to see Tufan at Anfield next season? Let us know in the comments below…
