Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are seriously starting to worry about how their side will fare in this weekend’s Merseyside derby.
The Toffees and local rivals Liverpool are separated by just six points in the Premier League table but Everton haven’t actually beaten the Reds since 2010, losing six of the last 13.
They fare even worse at Anfield, which will host Saturday’s instalment of the Mersey clash, not winning there since 1999 and losing four of the last six.
And making their task even harder is the latest injury news coming out of Goodison Park, with central defender Ramiro Funes Mori ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn meniscus during Argentina’s 2-0 defeat to Bolivia on Tuesday night.
Everton are also without Seamus Coleman, so Ronald Koeman will be forced to field somewhat of a makeshift backline this weekend.
Unsurprisingly, Liverpool fans have been sticking the boot in on Twitter…
