Key Liverpool man reveals significant frustration as Everton game draws near

It’s Merseyside Derby day here in the Transfer Tavern and the Reds and Blues of Liverpool and Everton are already filtering through the door.

It’s set to be the fierce contest that it always is with plenty riding on it thanks to the two sides’ positions in the Premier League table.

Indeed, whilst the Reds are in the top four and looking to cement their place in those Champions League spots, a win for Everton would see them move to three points off of their bitter rivals.

Both sides have got injuries to contend with right now, too, with the likes of Seamus Coleman out for the visitors and the hosts missing Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana.

Indeed, Lallana’s injury was sustained on international duty with England and it certainly appears that Jurgen Klopp is far from happy about that.

The German manager was speaking to the press ahead of today’s game yesterday and said of the injury via goal.com:

“Obviously I was not happy [when he played.] Somebody said I was relaxed about it, I could not be less relaxed about this – but it is not about blaming [Gareth] Southgate.

“I was not happy he played on the Wednesday but it was not my decision. I respect decisions of other managers.”

Not a happy bunny, then, and Everton will be looking to add to that with a win later today.
