Klopp could make transfer U-turn over Liverpool’s linked January deal

It says a lot about the nature of Jurgen Klopp’s huge rebuild at Liverpool that the Reds in the Tavern are not at all bothered about a certain Daniel Sturridge.

During his injury problems while the club were managed by Brendan Rodgers, the England international was touted as the man to help the club get over Luis Suarez after proving prolific in red.

Still, since Klopp arrived, the 27-year-old has largely cut a forlorn figure on the sidelines as more dynamic and reliable options emerge in front of him.

Which is why reports from the Mirror have been met with many a shrugged shoulder from our Merseyside locals.

They claim the former Manchester City and Chelsea forward will STAY at Anfield, despite likely January interest.

The likes of West Ham United and Southampton have been linked with moves for him, though Klopp is reportedly now prepared to snub any interest.

With Danny Ings and Philippe Coutinho injured, Sadio Mane will have to depart for the African Cup of Nations, meaning Sturridge’s exit would leave them far too light up front.

Does Sturridge really have a place under Klopp? Let us know below…
