There’s so much to talk about for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern right now, who are usually found praising manager Jurgen Klopp both often and loudly.
The German has overseen a fantastic run of results this term, crafting a hugely dynamic squad that has the Merseyside punters off their seats most of the time.
So, the good news has continued to roll in for the Reds propping up the bar, thanks to a story cited from ESPN.
They report outcast defender Mamadou Sakho began his return to contention after playing the whole 90 minutes for the club’s U23 side against Wolfsburg.
It’s the first time the Frenchman has played in 162 days after a nightmare spell towards the back end of last season.
Still, the French international is a popular figure on Merseyside and established himself as a top defender at times last term.
His return would be a welcome one, though the competition for places in Klopp’s backline increased over the summer.
Is there any chance of Sakho returning to the first-team fold? Let us know below…
