Klopp has already made a big Liverpool transfer mistake – Agreed?

Reds fans here in the Tavern are starting to question the future of some of the summer signings that have gone under the radar for the duration of this season.

Liverpool have produced some absolute gold in recent transfer windows with the birth of some Kop legends in Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres, but in recent times this has been something hard to come by with some questionable acquisitions being made.

During the summer months, the Scouse faithful all looked on in hope for one particular position to be invested in, a central defender which had been the one weakness that led to the downfall last season under their current manager, due to Dejan Lovren becoming a liability.

Completing the signing of a defender was exactly what the German did, however, it seemed he was oblivious to the fans remarks, as he looked to bring in the services of relegated side Hull City’s left-back Andy Robertson.

Much to their dismay, fans here in the Tavern displayed a slightly concerned look, after the arrival of the Scotsman has yielded little in the way of improvement in that berth. Because he’s barely played.

Now 13 games into the season, Klopp may start to retract his choice of acquiring the defender, having seen him live his life mainly on the bench, after an injury and a rise in form of Alberto Moreno has seen him become surplus to requirements.

Indeed, it’s as if the aforementioned Spaniard is overly convincing as it is!

However, with the gaffer recently ruling him out of a January transfer window loan move, you have to question the purpose of the left-back’s position at the club.

The Landlord here in the Tavern believes that Andy Robertson was a desperation buy for Klopp with the uncertain performances of Alberto Moreno, which has now sparked a backlash with his rise in form, causing the new signing to stagnate with a halt in progress.
