Jurgen Klopp surpassed expectations last season. The German boss led the club to a Champions League final, and his side played some stunning football in the process.
Mo Salah stole the headlines in a Liverpool side littered with talent last season. The Egyptian was in lethal touch on Merseyside, and with talents like Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane around him, at times they looked unstoppable last season.
That is not to say however, there is not room for improvement. Those one, or two, additions which could make the difference between reaching a Champions League final to actually winning the Champions League.
Klopp has already strengthened, with Fabinho from Monaco arriving for £43.7m. Another addition, and Liverpool’s squad could be scary.
With that in mind, here’s two signings Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to wrap up soon…
The 24 year old Argentine is being weighed up by Jurgen Klopp. He netted 22 goals in 33 serie a appearances for Italian giants Juventus.
Able to play both in a forward and attacking midfield role, Dybala would suit Liverpool’s system. Indeed, with Philippe Coutinho having departed back in January, the Argentine jewel could go some way into replacing him. One of the best forwards in Europe and someone who has proven to score big goals in big moments, he’d be quite the statement.
Jurgen Klopp will want to pip Manchester United to the post to bring in the Swiss, who was relegated last season with Stoke City. A bright spark who has played for the likes of Inter Milan, his career has stuttered in the Potteries.
In a squad like Liverpool’s, Shaqiri might find himself flourishing instead of frustrated. Clearly, his career has taken a downturn of late, though the former Bayern Munich man boasts a huge amount of talent going forward and could certainly compliment the likes of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.
