The Liverpool fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are still coming to terms with their Champions League final defeat, although their early movement in the transfer market has already gone a long way in renewing optimism for the new campaign.
Having already confirmed the acquisitions of Fabinho and Naby Keita, the Reds are on the right path to challenge significantly for the Premier League title next season. Along with a few more additions to strengthen the squad would only make Liverpool strong and that’s exactly what they need to do according to our punters. One player they would love to see brought in as attacking rotation is Felipe Anderson, who is valued at £22.5 million on Transfermarkt.
The Brazilian winger currently plays for Italian side Lazio and this season, his fantastic form has continued, where he’s scored 8 goals as well as getting 10 assists in his 32 appearances. The fast, dynamic winger consistently puts the opposition under pressure and because of his ability to play through the middle, or on either wing, Anderson poses a threat no matter where he plays meaning the defensive players are often occupied trying to mark him.
Everyone is well aware of the terrific impact the trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have had on the Reds this season, alone inspiring them into the Champions League final. However, great form can’t always last forever and the Liverpool fans may fear that the same trio may be found out next season as defenders find the solution to defending against them. Therefore if this did happen, Felipe Anderson could step in and provide a brilliant alternative option for the Reds.
