Liverpool’s Champions League hopes were handed a huge blow yesterday following defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield, which opens the door for Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Reds defeat could allow Manchester United to leapfrog them in the standings over the coming weeks and may see Arsenal draw level, should Liverpool’s two rivals win their games in hand over Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Whilst the defeat to Crystal Palace can’t really come as a surprise, as the Eagles have been rejuvenated in recent weeks in Sam Allardyce’s guidance, Liverpool fans were angry to see Mamadou Sakho celebrate the South London side’s victory.
Sakho was ineligible for the game yesterday against his parent side, due to a clause in the loan deal he secured in January, but the French defender still managed to grab the headlines as he celebrated victory against his employer.
Our landlord believes that it was unprofessional from Sakho, although he does add that the club haven’t exactly treated him well in the past year.

Lovren still in this team while Sakho is on loan and you don't want him to celebrate. Lol
Whole decision is laughable

Very unprofessional of Sakho to celebrate with Benteke, considering we're still his parent club. Dopey sod. #FinalNailInCoffin

Oh yeah, on the Sakho thing. Nothing would change my opinion that he's the best CB we have. But he indeed acted like a total twat today

Sakho gets up and celebrates with Benteke.. Not a fan of this at all. He's contracted to LFC. pic.twitter.com/bDKlA3I3ej

Sakho shouldn't be doing things like that,I wanted Klopp to give him another chance, not now though!

How can someone celebrate a team they're contracted to to lose? Worst of all our chances of top 4 have been diminished. Ask Sakho he knows.

Can we fine Sakho to celebrate against a team which is paying his wages?
