Considering their success as an unbreakable unit, not many would want to leave Liverpool right now.
Indeed, they’re playing stunning football, enjoying themselves and under a very popular manager as they chase the Premier League title in thrilling fashion. However, not everyone is as fond of Klopp it seems…
Frustrated by the lack of game-time this season, Alberto Moreno is done with the Reds. He’ll move on next season, possibly to Fenerbahce, leaving a hole in the back-up role to the brilliant Andy Robertson. The Scottish left-back is irreplaceable right now, but Klopp could find Moreno’s successor from within.
The German’s been impressed with youth team captain Adam Lewis, who’s been having a stunning season for the junior Reds. The left back’s a consistent cog in Liverpool’s defence, leading them with example with strong tackles, promising positioning and endless energy for the cause.
Even going forward, Lewis mirrors Robertson with his delivery in the attacking front. The 19-year-old’s ranged crosses, incisive movement and clever passing has allowed Liverpool’s U-23 side to play some stunning football. The U-23 captain’s helped them keep a plethora of clean-sheets while assisting 7 goals in all competitions. The relentless left-back has shown supreme talent by putting in some excellent performances this season.
As a result, he’ll be rewarded by making his senior team breakthrough next season. While Robertson won’t be benched for many games, yet Lewis will learn a lot from the limited appearances he gets. The 19-year-old can definitely benefit from the learning curve under the Scottish left-back and follow his foot-steps to soon contesting for Liverpool’s left-back spot.
