Struggling Premiership sides Birmingham and Liverpool have shown there hands in the chase to sign highly rated Boca Juniors forward Pablo Mouche.
The youngster who plays as a second striker has represented Argentina at under 20’s level and is widely expected to make the jump into the senior side.
Mouche, 23, has been constantly linked with moves away from Buenos Aires based Boca, but as yet has remained loyal to the cause. He was expected to sign for a Spanish club during the last transfer window but no move materialised.
Liverpool would only see the player as a back up to Captain Steven Gerrard, as when the England international isn’t in the starting line up the Reds lack creativity going forward.
Mouche would command a starting berth at Birmingham however and would no doubt be thrust straight into Premiership action. The Blues had allegedly made a tentative £1.25 million enquiry but, have been told that Boca would accept a loan deal at this point for £200,000.
Whether the youngster would fancy leaving high-flying Boca for a relegation battle in the Midlands though is very doubtful.
