There’s not been much to shout about for the Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern over the past few days.
Amid what has proven to be a rather frustrating week for our resident Reds, those calming their nerves up against our bar have at least got a transfer story to take their minds off things.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Merseyside giants are considering selling Llyod Jones to Preston North End in January. Indeed, the 21-year-old is understood to have been a Deepdale target over the course of the summer, though a £250k deal is believed to have broken down during the last window.
A host of League One clubs are also thought to be keen on the 21-year-old, who has largely been farmed out on loan to lower league sides since joining Liverpool from Plymouth back in 2011.
Though Liverpool seemingly need all the help they can get when it comes to sorting their defence out, not many of our Mersey drinkers are too bothered about Jones’ potential exit. Still, they hope Jurgen Klopp makes a signing to help his backline.
