Liverpool considering swoop for player after scouting mission

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to hear their side is looking to fix one of the weakest areas in the squad, with a new left-back in their sights.

The Daily Mail states Liverpool are weighing-up a move Real Betis’ Riza Durmisi, a Danish international who has a fixed release-clause of £17m.

Durmisi, who only arrived in La Liga from Brondby last summer, has been watched by scouts from the Merseyside club this season and Jurgen Klopp is deciding upon a move, as he needs full-back reinforcements despite the efforts of James Milner.

The 23-year-old has experience at international level with Denmark, making 15 appearances, whilst he has chalked up 11 appearances in La Liga this season for Real Betis.

Liverpool currently have just an out-of-position Milner and an under-performing Alberto Moreno as options on the left side but Klopp is unlikely to solve his woes this window, with a move more likely to take place in the summer.

Our landlord believes this could be a good move but expects plenty more links to arise between now and the end of the season.

The Reds fans here in the Tavern think that the club need to delve into the transfer window, especially with the club on such a poor run of form of late!

Liverpool fans, would Durmisi be a good addition to your side? Let us know in the comments below!
