The Reds fans within the Transfer Tavern are delighted to have witnessed such a brilliant season, and one that could still get even better with the Champions League all still to play for.
Only a handful of people would have ever believed the impact Mohamed Salah would have on Liverpool at the start of the season and now the PFA player of the year remains the key to Champions League prosperity having helped his side reach the semi-finals.
Liverpool’s attacking intent all season long has been mesmerising to watch and teams have struggled to deal with the pace, trickery and desire of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and of course Mohamed Salah. Should this carry on mind you, Liverpool have to keep improving their team and with the transfer window creeping ever closer, our punters suggest that Ajax talent David Neres, who is valued at £13.50 million on Transfermarkt, should be brought in as competition for the array of attacking options Liverpool already have.
The Brazilian attacker arrived in Holland in January 2017 and has since made 30 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, bagging 13 goals and 13 assists, statistics very pleasing on the eye. The tricky winger has been in phenomenal form and it won’t be long before David Neres is a well-recognised name.
Liverpool’s front three have shown no signs of letting up, as they keep scoring and inflicting more pain on any opponents in their way. However, should any of the three be the figure of interest from another team, the Reds will have to hope that they can keep their best players due to their recent big push for silverware.
David Neres is not currently an essential signing but is a player that if Liverpool persuaded to Anfield, has the potential to become one of the best wingers in the league.
