The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are thrilled to have reached the last four in the Champions League with their European dreams well and truly alive.
The Reds have been a joy to watch this season and their scintillating form since the turn of the year has helped them progress in the Premier League and the Champions League. Already it seems that Liverpool will be dubbed as top contenders to win the Premier League next season after failing to keep pace Man City early season. For this to come true, the Reds would we wise to use the transfer window as a time to bring in some new faces to help a push for success.
A player that our punters think would become a top player under Jurgen Klopp and at Liverpool is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who is valued at £7.20 million on Transfermarkt. The young England star is currently on-loan at Crystal Palace and having impressed massively at Selhurst Park, rumours of a World Cup call-up would only be justified.
Chelsea have made many mistakes in the past by letting players leave Stamford Bridge permanently but Liverpool will be hoping they do the same with Loftus-Cheek. Although his season was interrupted by injury, his strong, dominating performances still earned him a goal and four assists so far.
Loftus-Cheek is still finding his best position due to the ability to play as a defensive or attacking midfielder. His power and tenacity make him seem like he has the makings of a top England international and Liverpool would be very smart to take advantage of his current situation.
