Liverpool could yet agree MLS deal despite snubbed offer

The Liverpool fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are hugely frustrated their side couldn’t hold on against bitter rivals Manchester United this weekend.

While our Merseyside locals acknowledge the fact it was important not to lose the bitter clash at Old Trafford, the Reds are somewhat disappointed their side are still without a league win in 2017. Clearly, that sort of form hints at a problem, so reports from ESPN have at least provided a distraction.

According to a recent report, Anfield youngster Brooks Lennon is of increasing interest in the MLS, particularly to Real Salt Lake. The 19-year-old striker featured for the Royals as a youngster in their academy and could reportedly make a return to the United States.

The Arizona-born forward is understood to have been the subject of a failed bid from the American outfit, though a loan switch could reportedly be on the cards for the talented teen.

As highly rated as Lennon is amongst the Kopites in the bar, the wonderfully devastating front three on offer in the first-team will obviously keep him at bay for a while, so the notion of him returning to the States is hardly surprising.

Would Liverpool make a mistake in selling Lennon? Let us know below…
