Liverpool: David Maddock says upcoming Merseyside derby might be the biggest in decades

Manchester United’s huge victory over Manchester City was definitely a big talking point over in the Premier League and the ripple effects of that result might be even bigger still.
Of course, the title race in the English top-flight is probably the least interesting of all top European leagues, simply due to Liverpool’s incredible dominance of the scene.
But yet another defeat for Pep Guardiola’s men means that the Reds are closer than ever to actually clinching that long-awaited crown and as fate would have it, the upcoming Merseyside derby might play a key role in that.
David Maddock posted an update on the matter, stating that if Liverpool were to win the derby at Goodison Park, it would set the stage for Jurgen Klopp and co. to lift the trophy at Anfield the week after that.
So a big win for United…but a potentially MASSIVE one for #LFC. But now need to beat #EFC at Goodison to set up prospect of winning the title at Anfield on Mar 21 – so that becomes the biggest Merseyside derby in decades!!!

This, according to the journalist himself, would make that Merseyside derby at Goodison Park the biggest in decades.
Liverpool fans, are you confident of clinching the league title by March 21? Do you agree with Maddock’s verdict? Let us know down in the comments below!
