Liverpool enter race for £30m Champions League winger, tore apart Chelsea this season

The pre Europa League final nerves may be proving to be a bit much for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern as they look to steady themselves with more than a few drinks this evening.

However, such is the nature of life under Jurgen Klopp, the Reds look to be pressing ahead in typically German efficient fashion.

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, via the Daily Mirror, the Merseyside giants have entered the race to land highly rated Porto winger Yacine Brahimi.

The Algerian was mightily impressive when he played Chelsea in the Champions League earlier this season and represents a genuine threat on the wings.

Only Jordon Ibe is a recognised winger in the current squad, though Lazar Markovic is due to return from his loan spell this summer.

Still, the 26-year old will not come cheap. He reportedly has a €60m buyout clause, though Dragões own just have of his economic rights.

The Mirror go on to suggest a fee upwards of £30m would be enough to get the two parties talking.
