The Liverpool fans so deliriously happy from last night’s stunning derby win drinking in the Transfer Tavern have met reports in the Sun they are lining up a shock double deal with slight surprise.

It is claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp has cast his eyes over West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell, as well as Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson, in regards to a potential summer raid.

Hammers left-back Cresswell has proved to a wonderful signing in East London since joining from Ipswich in 2014, in a position the Reds have continually struggled to fill.

Alberto Moreno has failed to wholly convince in terms of defensive ability, while Jon Flanagan has struggled with injuries and is more of a natural right-back.

The 26-year old is reportedly valued at around £15m, a marked profit on the £4m shelled out for him while with the Tractor Boys.

Meanwhile, Cherries striker Wilson saw an excellent start to the season derailed by a ligament injury that has kept him out of action since September.

After five goals in his opening six games, he is thought to have attracted admirers on Merseyside.

The report suggests the former Coventry star would command a fee of around £20m and there are doubts about the long-term futures of Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke at Anfield.

Would Cresswell and Wilson fit in at Liverpool under Klopp?
