Whenever a glass is dropped here in the Transfer Tavern the culprit is always branded Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius, such is the state of affairs at Liverpool in terms of goalkeeping quality, so Buzzsport‘s latest report that the Reds are very keen on Saint-Etienne’s Stephane Ruffier has generated quite the debate.
The Merseysiders were aligned with the 30-year-old three-cap France international not long ago by Manu Lonjon, with many believing that getting a new No.1 will be a transfer priority for Jurgen Klopp this looming transfer window.

And, referencing this link, Buzzsport have revealed that Liverpool’s interest in Ruffier has grown.
The experienced goalkeeper has spent his entire career in his homeland and is considered to be one of the best shot-stoppers in Ligue 1, albeit his last Les Bleus cap came way back in 2015.
Buzzsport’s report also hints that the potential arrival of Ruffier would push one of Mignolet or Karius out of Anfield, with Klopp unlikely to be able to keep three goalies in the prime of their respective careers happy.
Of the two, they believe it’s more likely the latter will be moved on, even though he was only signed from Mainz last summer.
Liverpool must get rid of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius this summer – agree?
