Liverpool: Fans agree with John Aldridge on Emre Can’s departure from Anfield

Loads of Liverpool fans have found themselves agreeing with club legend John Alridge after he commented about former Reds midfielder Emre Can and his departure from the club.
The 26-year-old left Merseyside in the summer of 2018 after seeing out the remainder of his contract and joined Juventus on a free transfer. After a first season in Italy that saw him play a lot of football, his second term in Turin wasn’t as action-packed, as per TransferMarkt. As a result, he moved back to his native Germany with Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season, with a £25m permanent switch if parameters are met.
After Can decided that his future would be better served away from the current Premier League leaders, Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo that he felt that the Germany international was not good enough to play for his former side and that his decision to move back to the Bundesliga speaks volumes about him as a person. Understandably, many supporters agreed with the Irishman and made their feelings clear on social media. In fact, one fan said that Can was yet another player that thought that the grass was greener elsewhere.
