Liverpool fans are loving what Klopp has said about Benitez ahead of Newcastle clash

Liverpool fans have found another reason to show their love to manager Jurgen Klopp as he’s been talking up ex-Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Rafa’s Newcastle side this weekend. Klopp praised the Spaniard’s ability to organise a team and make life difficult for the opposition leading to Koppites waxing lyrical about their manager.

Rafa Benitez took charge of 349 matches in charge of Liverpool between 2004 and 2010, winning the Merseysiders the ultimate prize at club level, the Champions League in 2005. If you were to ask any Liverpool fan what their favourite Liverpool match has been in the last twenty years, we have no hesitation in saying all of them will reminisce about that night in Istanbul. Benitez saw his Liverpool side down 3-0 at halftime against a rampant AC Milan, but managed to pull the score back to 3-3 and seal a famous penalty shootout victory.

Whilst Klopp is yet to match the heroics of Benitez in terms of honours won for the Anfield club, he’s already become a fan favourite with his undying passion and wild celebrations a common feature on touchlines up and down the country. With two of Liverpool fans most loved managers set to face off tomorrow, it’s sure to be a game that all associated with Liverpool can enjoy.
