The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving that their midfield man has joined Twitter and have been reacting to his most recent tweet. Milner thanked his followers for the welcome they’d given him and wished the England team good luck for the game against The Netherlands later, whilst also congratulating Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk on being given The Netherland’s captaincy.

The Kopites propping our bar up loved seeing Milner’s tweet and the 32-year-old’s Twitter account have convinced the fans that he’s not so boring after all, as was previously thought of the versatile Englishman. Milner has been in stellar form for Liverpool this season and has shown what he can do in a Liverpool shirt, chipping in with a goal and nine assists for the Anfield club in his 36 appearances in the current campaign.
The ex-Aston Villa and Manchester City man has proven to be a valuable asset for Jurgen Klopp’s side since joining the club, Liverpool’s number seven played the majority of last season as a left back, sharing the role with Alberto Moreno. However, this season Milner has returned to his more favoured position in central midfield and has continued to prove his worth to Liverpudlians with his consistent, reliable performances helping to endear himself to the fans.
