Liverpool: Fans are swooning over ‘Sugar, Sugar’ throwback video

A throwback video to Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Manchester City in 2018 has been doing the rounds on Twitter and Kopites are absolutely loving it.
With no football to occupy the weekends, fans are sharing highlights and flashbacks to fond memories of their team. One video that Liverpool supporters have gathered to appreciate is the Sky Sports montage of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané all scoring against Man City following Philippe Coutinho’s departure.
The video features the ‘Sugar, Sugar’ song that fans famously rebranded to make light of Coutinho’s exit from Anfield, showing the opposition they weren’t fazed because they still had their clinical front three. And they were right not to be worrying as they look to soon lift their first ever Premier League trophy.
Many fans are reminiscing over the seven-goal thriller at Anfield, with one fan claiming it is a ‘beautiful‘ memory, whilst another said the match was the ‘start of something special’ as Liverpool entered a new era.
Sky Sports will struggle to ever top this video.
Goosebumps.

After a season of ups and downs and then selling Coutinho and buying van Dijk right before this match, it was the true start of something special for this group of players under Klopp. Few games have made me enjoy football more than this one.
