Liverpool: Fans commemorate Trent Alexander-Arnold as he prepares for 100th outing for the Reds

Liverpool fans have shown their approval for their right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold as he will make his 100th appearance for the Reds if he features against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The 21-year-old cruised through the youth levels at Melwood to earn himself a first-team opportunity under Jurgen Klopp and made his debut at Old Trafford during the Reds’ 1-1 draw during the 2016/17 campaign.

After his debut, he has gone on to feature in two Champions League Finals with the club, losing one in Kyiv and famously helping to secure the club’s sixth title in Madrid.

His brilliant ingenuity during Liverpool’s semi-final tie against Barcelona found Divock Origi from a quickly taken corner to secure a famous victory, after being 3-0 down from the first leg, is arguably one of his finest moments to date in a Reds shirt.

Supporters heaped praise on the West Derby-born defender as he is about to make his century of outings. One fan said that Alexander-Arnold is the best thing to happen to Liverpool since Steven Gerrard.
