Liverpool: Fans compare Oxlade-Chamberlain to Steven Gerrard after impressive long-range strike

Liverpool scraped through to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on penalties on Wednesday night, but there were some amazing goals before that. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s strike to pull the game back to 4-3 was one of the standout moments in the 5-5 draw with Arsenal.
He’s making quite the habit of scoring from long range, with him already becoming the first player to score two goals from outside the box in a single Champions League game this season. He’s now bagged three goals in five appearances since returning from injury.
Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted news of the goals and many fans were quick into the replies to heap praise on the 26-year-old. Some even likened his long-range shooting to that of Steven Gerrard, who scored 33 Premier League goals from outside the box for Liverpool.
