Liverpool: Fans describe Jorge Jesus’ comments about Jordan Henderson as a ‘serious statement’
Liverpool fans have praised captain Jordan Henderson after Flamengo manager Jorge Jesus described him as the best midfielder in the world.
Since his arrival from Sunderland in 2011, fans have previously called for the midfielder to be sold but has slowly won over his critics since being named the skipper in 2015.
Since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival in the same year, he has become a key asset in the German tactician’s side and helped his side win the Champions League in Madrid and the Super Cup in Istanbul.
Henderson also assisted in his team’s success in Qatar, as they won the Club World Cup by beating Brazilian side Flamengo 1-0 in Doha.
Jesus paid Henderson the highest compliment by telling CMTV that he was the best midfielder in the world.
Supporters were in agreement with Jesus and believe that he is finally getting the recognition that he deserves.
