Liverpool: Fans buzzing as James Pearce reveals Takumi Minamino details

Liverpool fans have exploded with delight as RB Salzburg winger Takumi Minamino is set to have a medical at Melwood and will join the Reds in January.
The Merseyside club have reportedly fended off competition from the likes of rivals Manchester United, AC Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach to capture the Japan international.
The deal progressed quickly on Thursday, as The Independent revealed that Christoph Freund, sporting director of the Austrian champions, was ready to see him move to one of Europe’s elite clubs after five years at Salzburg.
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 22 appearances for Die Mozartstädter, including a goal at Anfield during his side’s 4-3 defeat against the European champions in October.
As long as he passes his medical, Takumi Minamino will become a #LFC on January 1. Borussia Mönchengladbach, AC Milan and Manchester United among those beaten to his signature.
