A potential design for Liverpool’s first away kit under the Nike sponsor has been leaked and fans are less than impressed with what they’re seeing,
According to Footy Headlines, an oceanic looking Nike design will be Liverpool’s first away kit under the sponsor for the 2020/21 season.
The rumoured kit has been likened to a past Tottenham Hotspur away kit which a lot of fans really aren’t happy with.
Liverpool’s sponsor changed hands back in January following a lot of uncertainty over whether New Balance would be able to match Nike’s offer. The club announced the new lucrative manufacturer deal reportedly worth $39.5million (£33.5million) per year (via CNN).
Fans have been getting excited over the upcoming designs Nike will be offering the club after some concept kits did the rounds on Twitter to give supporters a taste (via Liverpool Echo). However, this leaked away shirt has not sat well with the majority of the fanbase. Many are hoping the image is fake whilst others are calling the design ‘hideous’ and ‘abysmal’.
