Liverpool fans happy to see Daniel Sturridge miss out on the England squad

Gareth Southgate has announced his 25-man squad for the upcoming England internationals in the UEFA Nations League and Daniel Sturridge’s absence has sparked a reaction on both sides of the spectrum.
Sturridge looked as if he could be on his way out of Anfield in the summer, however, following a startling return of five goals during pre-season, he has got off to a flying start in the League, League Cup and in Europe, amounting four goals in two starts, leaving numerous Reds surprised at his omission.
However, despite the fact that no player warrants a call-up after just two starts this season, the majority of Liverpool fans interacting with the tweet looked to the positive side to his exclusion as it means that the 29-year-old doesn’t risk an injury, an unfortunate trait of his in recent years.
If Sturridge can retain this form and continue to be consistent when given game-time, Southgate may be left with no choice but to recall the forward in the near future.
The trio of Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson have all retained their places from the previous squad ahead of fixtures against the United States and Croatia later this month.

Weird position being a Liverpool fan , outraged that one of England’s best strikers in Daniel Sturridge is overlooked but also pleased he won’t get injured on international duty .

Is it just me who thinks Daniel Sturridge deserves to be called up for the England team? Kept himself fit, been in great form but then again we don’t want him getting injured so maybe the choice is a right thing!?

It’s annoying for Sturridge that the likes of Welbeck was picked for England’s squad ahead of him, but Liverpool fans shouldn’t worry about it too much because knowing our luck he’d get injured on international duty like he has done before and like Lallana always does!

Don't understand why our own fans want Sturridge to be called up for England? He gets injured everytime he goes and we need him right now, not to get injured in a meaningless game.
