Liverpool fans saw Jurgen Klopp give an opportunity to some of the youngsters again when he started the likes of Harvey Elliot, Neco Williams and Curtis Jones against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. However, second-choice goalkeeper Adrian got some attention too with fans buzzing about his save during the first half.
Shrewsbury’s number seven Shaun Whalley was set through on goal and tried to slot the ball past Adrian’s left when the one-on-one opened up. The ‘keeper made himself big and managed to save the shot with his foot to keep the game 1-0. He also made a number of impressive saves in the first half of the last round against Everton.
Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted the news of the save and they described it as “brilliant” before the FA Cup’s account posted the clip of it below. Many fans were quick to praise the goalkeeper in the replies.
24′ Brilliant @AdriSanMiguel save! Whalley with a big opportunity for the home side but the shot is well saved!
