Liverpool: Fans in awe of Sadio Mane after he pays homage to people in his hometown of Bambali

Plenty of Liverpool fans heaped praise on winger Sadio Mane after he made glowing comments about the people in his hometown.
The 27-year-old recently picked up the 2019 CAF African Player of the Year award after winning the Champions League in Madrid, the Super Cup in Istanbul and the Club World Cup in Doha. He also claimed a share of the Premier League Golden Boot, along with the African duo of Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (as per premierleague.com).
Indeed, his impressive trophy collection was helped by his own personal contribution to Jurgen Klopp’s side. Mane has managed 15 goals and conjured up 11 assists in 31 appearances. This is compared to his 26 goals in 50 outings during the 2018/19 campaign, which has helped towards some of his team’s achievements. He told the club’s official website that he was always driven by the support of the people of his hometown Bambali in Senegal.
Unsurprisingly, many Liverpool supporters were in awe of Mane’s attitude as a player with a seemingly humble approach with life. One fan said that he is “one of a kind”, while another described him as the “perfect player”.
