Liverpool fans keen to celebrate imminent arrival too following club’s Twitter post

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see their side return to Premier League action with a victory on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool will be looking to complete their third straight Premier League victory for the first time this season when they welcome Southampton to Anfield on Saturday. Two of Liverpool’s African stars Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have been instrumental in the club’s attacking endeavours so far this season, and they have been rewarded for their fine form with places on the shortlist for the 2017 BBC African Footballer of the Year award.

The Reds faithful have sung the praises of both the Senegalese and Egyptian international, and it appears plenty of fans are struggling to decide which way to cast their vote.

A post on the club’s official Twitter page confirming their place on the shortlist has prompted Liverpool fans to politely remind their fellow supporters that future Liverpool employee Naby Keita is also in the running for the award.

Liverpool fans seem delighted to see that Keita’s performances for RB Leipzig have being officially recognised by the BBC, and they will be hoping he can transfer his fantastic form in Germany to the Premier League next season.

Here’s what they had to say in response to the official club post…
