The 17-year-old was invited to join first-team training on Thursday after his stunning goal against bitter rivals Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League earlier this week. A very welcome sign for our local Liverpudlians here in the Tavern, as they hope that the Portuguese forward can enjoy a better time on Merseyside than fellow countryman Raul Meireles ever did.

Encouragingly, Camacho managed to score the second goal in the Under-19s’ 2-0 win over United, in a game that saw the forward display his class and quality against a tough United defence. Indeed, definitely a positive sign for all parties involved, with the youngster gaining some valuable experience in the first-team ranks, as the club slowly reaps the benefits of his progression.

Landlord’s Verdict:

The Portuguese international looks to be a very exciting prospect for Liverpool fans to look forward to, and to already see him training with the first-team will only increase the excitement. But, one thing that fans may love the most about Camacho’s recent performance is his ability to score against bitter rivals Manchester United.
