Liverpool fans may not like reports over latest deal (not Sessegnon)

It’s going to be a busy summer of activity for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, who hope to watch their side splash the cash ahead of a return to the Champions League.

Our resident Reds are ready for all the rumours and reports as they pray Jurgen Klopp produces some more excellent work in the transfer market and a story from the Liverpool Echo has the punters intrigued.

Hull City defender Andrew Robertson has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield and, while he’s been relegated twice with the Tigers, has emerged as a popular potential target in the bar.

The Scotsman operates as a left-back, a problem berth for Liverpool in recent season, so reports suggesting a deal to bring the ex-Dundee United man to Merseyside was close went down a storm.

However, the ECHO claims any such idea of a transfer almost being complete is very wide of the mark, despite the fact Liverpool have reportedly given up on Ryan Sessegnon.

While our drinkers are slightly annoyed by this, they hope a deal can be reached over the course of the summer.
