Loads of Liverpool fans have been left delighted by something the BBC Sport live feed said during Wednesday night’s action, as it claimed Roberto Firmino had turned Mason Holgate “into a pretzel”.
Firmino and Holgate clashed in a previous Merseyside derby, as the Toffees defender shoved the Brazilian towards the advertising boards, only to later accuse the Liverpool man of racial abuse.
Firmino was then cleared of any wrongdoing, per The Guardian, and this has of course led to some hostility from Liverpool fans, who feel Holgate created a false claim to harm their number nine.
Holgate started in a back three on Wednesday night before moving to the right of a back four, and substitute Firmino pranced past him with a lovely piece of skill to set up Georginio Wijnaldum’s goal.

The Anfield faithful are absolutely loving the way the goal was described by BBC Sport, and it is yet another reason for them to mock their arch-rivals, who now sit in the relegation zone.
