Liverpool: Fans mock Jose Mourinho despite complimentary words

Liverpool fans have aimed at the newly-appointed Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho despite his complementary words towards the club.
The Portuguese boss has set his sights on Jurgen Klopp’s side as the benchmark to where he wants his team to aim for after last season’s Champions League win and their accumulation of 97 points in the Premier League.
The ex-Manchester United man recognised the achievements of Liverpool last season, the season before they lost the Champions League Final in Kyiv to overturn their fortunes 12 months later in Madrid.
Jose Mourinho: “One year Liverpool lost the Premier League by one point and they lost the Champions League by one goal and the next season, they are very strong in the Premier League. Last season they went very very strong and they won it.” 🔴

In his first press conference as Tottenham’s head coach, he said that their downfalls in both the Premier League and Champions League have led to a bounce-back the season after, which is where he wants his new team to be.
Despite this, supporters were not buying Mourinho’s remarks and made their feelings clear on social media.
