Liverpool fans on Twitter are slating Ian Wright after his comments on Mo Salah

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been ripping into former Arsenal striker and pundit, Ian Wright after he claimed it’s inevitable that Mohamed Salah will attract interest from Real Madrid. Wright made the comments whilst speaking on Sky Sports The Debate show. Wright also claimed that losing Salah would be a bigger loss than losing  Philippe Coutinho was.

Liverpool fans can’t deny that Wright has a point. The Egyptian wizard has scored an obscene 28 goals in 30 appearances in the Premier League in his debut season at Anfield. No one expected Salah to shine the way he has this season after the winger had a two-year stay at Chelsea where he scored just two goals in 13 appearances between 2014 and 2016.

Our local Kopites won’t be complaining though as Salah looks set to shatter the Premier League’s individual scoring record for a single season of 34 co-held by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole. Salah needs just six more goals to equal it and seven to beat it in Liverpool’s remaining eight league games. Not many people would bet against Mo Salah though after the ex-Roma and Fiorentina man smashed four goals past Watford in a 5-0 drumming last weekend.
