Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been enjoying their club’s football at the moment, they currently sit 3rd in the Premier League and have booked themselves a place in the Champions League quarter-finals. Midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, has played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s success after signing for the Anfield club from Arsenal back in summer and now finds himself playing in the last eight of the Champions League for the first time in his career.

The 24-year-old left the Gunners after six years at the club between 2011 and 2017 and despite playing in the Champions League every season he was at the club, he never managed to get past the round-of-sixteen with the Londoners. However, under a year into his Liverpool career, the dynamic midfielder has found himself playing in the competition’s last eight after helping his side to a 5-0 aggregate win over Porto in the first round of the knockout stages.
The Liverpool fans propping up our bar have been loving ‘The Ox’s’ recent performances after there were some initial doubts over the player and the money it took to bring him to the club at the start of his Liverpool days. Chamberlain’s successes have provided our resident Reds with yet another reason to laugh at Arsenal as Wenger’s men are suffering an awful run of form that might have gone another way if they still had their man.
