Liverpool fans have praised the actions of skipper Jordan Henderson after the part he played during Raheem Sterling and Joe Gomez’s altercation on Wednesday.
The Manchester City winger and the Liverpool defender were involved in a struggle at England’s training camp at St George’s Park that resulted in the Citizens star being left out of the England squad.
Can Jordan Henderson consider himself one of Liverpool's greatest captains?
This came after Liverpool’s 3-1 victory against Manchester City.
The Mirror revealed that the Liverpool captain played a major part in calming the situation by speaking to the two players over the phone.
As a result, the pair drew a line under the situation and continued with their preparations for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.
Supporters were delighted with the key role that Henderson played and made their feelings clear about him on social media.
One fan said that the 29-year-old midfielder does the little things that no one really pays much attention to, while another said that he should still be the England captain.
Here you will find some of the best responses from Liverpool fans:
That’s the reason i love him ❤️

A captain doesn’t have to be the best player on the field. He has to be the best leader in and of the field. And Henderson is that. He should still be the England captain.
