Liverpool: Fans rave about Jurgen Klopp on fourth anniversary since he became manager

Tuesday 8th October 2019 marked four years since Jurgen Klopp was officially named as the Liverpool manager.

The German arrived at Anfield in 2015, replacing Brendan Rodgers at the helm. It marked the start of his third job in management, having previously been in charge of Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.

It would be fair to say that he has overseen an extremely fruitful period at the club. Indeed he has guided them to two Champions League finals, winning one, the Europa League final and also a League Cup final.

Added to that he has also done well in the Premier League, finishing just a single point behind Manchester City in 2018/19 with a club record number of points (97).

He has now guided them to a brilliant start to the current campaign in which they have won every game in the league so far, and sit eight points clear at the top of the table.

There are some quite remarkable stats that sum up Klopp’s reign at the club so far. Indeed, according to Liverpool’s website he has the second-highest win percentage of any Reds manager (58.82%), his team averages 2.11 points per game in the Premier League and they have scored 458 goals under the German, averaging 2.08 per game.

The official Liverpool Twitter account posted a reminder to their fans that it was four years since Klopp arrived at Anfield on Tuesday, and many of them were raving about the job he has done in the replies.
