Liverpool supporters have been in fine voice for much of the 2018/19 season given their side’s stunning efforts in the Premier League so far this term.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were being tipped by many to be the main challengers to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City this season after improving greatly under the ex-Borussia Dortmund chief last time round, which saw them reach the Champions League final. And with some very shrewd additions during the summer, many felt the Reds were in with a shot of their first title in the Premier League era, and so it seems at present given the Merseysiders are top of the pile as the season reaches the halfway stage.
As such, there have been many delighted Liverpudlians up and down the country for much of the campaign so far, plenty of whom are likely to be interested in a recent announcement on the club’s official website that youngster Herbie Kane has penned a new deal with the Reds.
The 20-year-old has come up through the ranks at Anfield but has yet to make a senior appearance in Klopp’s team, instead he has been delivering the goods on loan at League One outfit Doncaster Rovers this term with an impressive six goals and six assists in all competitions for Grant McCann’s side, three goals of which have come in their last four league games.
Thus, with it looking like the midfielder has an extremely bright future ahead of him in the game, Liverpool have moved to tie him down to a new long-term deal, which is news that has stimulated quite a response from several Reds fans on Twitter.
And many of those supporters have been saying the same thing with regards to Kane’s new deal, namely suggesting that he is indeed better than his namesake and Tottenham star Harry…
