Liverpool saw their winning run come to an end as Manchester United held them to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The Reds looked to be on course for defeat as a poor performance saw them fail to create many chances and allow United chances of their own throughout the game.
However, the introduction of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana spun the game in their favour, and it was Lallana who got the decisive equaliser with five minutes to go.
It was a controversial affair and referee Martin Atkinson came in for scrutiny throughout, and following the game, after disallowing a Sadio Mane goal with the help of VAR, while also allowing a United goal to stand when it looked like Divock Origi had been fouled in the build-up.
The Liverpool fans, on the other hand, seemed keen to move on from the game and take the point given their level of performance on Sunday afternoon, with some criticising it.
Twitter, then, was awash with comments from Liverpool fans after the game, and it’s safe to say it was a case of getting this one over and done with for a lot of Reds fans…
We was awful today. Take the point and be better next game. YNWA

It’s not catastrophic since our front 3 were totally absent today 😑😑😑

Take the draw at OT, 6pts clear still unbeaten. Lallana is the 🐐. Up the Reds 🔴

Given our performance, a point is not bad.

these are the sort of results that lost us the league last season. Dissapointing fraw against a mid-table side.
