Liverpool: Fans react positively to Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson missing England’s game in Kosovo

England will be without two Liverpool players for tomorrow’s concluding Euro 2020 qualifier against Kosovo.

Sky Sports reported that defender Joe Gomez was forced out of training after a clash of knees with Kieran Trippier, while midfielder Jordan Henderson has been struck down with a lingering viral infection.

Paul Joyce, Northern Football Correspondent for The Times, notified followers of the double blow for Liverpool and England on his Twitter profile @_pauljoyce.

According to Sky Sports, both Gomez and Henderson have not travelled with the England squad for tomorrow’s game in Pristina, leaving Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Liverpool’s remaining representatives in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Kosovo match.

Gomez was booed by large sections of the crowd at Wembley upon his introduction as a substitute in Thursday’s 7-0 win over Montenegro, following his involvement in an altercation with Raheem Sterling earlier in the week which led to the Manchester City man being dropped for the game by Southgate.

His injury and Henderson’s illness add to Jurgen Klopp’s casualty list from the international break, with Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah being forced to pull out of the Scotland and Egypt squads respectively due to ankle injuries.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter saw the upside to the misfortunes that have struck Gomez and Henderson:
