Liverpool: Fans react to Andy Robertson’s Twitter post

Plenty of Liverpool fans have had their say over a tweet from left-back Andy Robertson after their defeat to Atletico de Madrid in the Champions League.
Robertson joined the Reds from Hull City back in 2017 and has gone on to make 119 appearances for the club and, last summer, the Scotsman won the Champions League with Liverpool. Indeed, the former Queen’s Park man has provided 25 assists during his time at Anfield (per Transfermarkt) and has recorded an impressive 1.5 key passes per game (via WhoScored), which is the fourth-highest in the squad.
Despite the success, the Merseysiders saw themselves ejected from the Champions League on Wednesday night after losing to Atletico 4-2 on aggregate at Anfield.
Suffice to say, many Liverpool fans have had mixed reactions to Robertson’s tweet – plenty have responded positively to the performance, whilst others were left frustrated with the way to club lost the tie.
That was a tough one to take, gutted to have lost after the way we played! The fans were incredible, we’re sorry we didn’t come through for you. So proud to be a part of this team and club! #YNWA pic.twitter.com/zctqi45OKz

They’re all so jealous of you Robbo. Absolute hero. Be as cocky as possible with that PL trophy to add to your collection
