Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a montage of Philippe Coutinho’s best moments in red, with many still missing the Brazil star despite his acrimonious exit.
Coutinho left Anfield in January 2018 for a whopping £142m (BBC), and while it’s fair to say the Reds have benefitted from his departure, signing two players in Alisson and Virgil van Dijk who have both since won the Champions League and made the FIFA World XI, that doesn’t mean fans aren’t sad to lose a player of so much quality.
Indeed, Coutinho’s time on Merseyside was littered with memorable moments, from his stunning long-range strikes to his mesmerising dribbles, while earlier this week marked the four-year anniversary of his cheeky chip over David De Gea in a Europa League clash at Old Trafford.
And after one fan on Twitter shared a compilation of some of the £63m-rated (Trasnfermarkt) man’s best moments in red, supporters flooded to respond and pile praise on their former hero, with one fan simply calling him ‘unbelievable’…
Could never had left Liverpool. By now he’d be ballon dor candidate
