Liverpool are reportedly linked with a move for 17-year-old Jérémy Doku who has flourished in recent weeks, tallying three goals and four assists in Belgium's top flight (via Het Neiuwsblad),

Reports claim that Liverpool are keen on signing the next Sadio Mané (via Daily Star) and have been monitoring the Anderlecht teenager for some time now. The Reds were unsuccessful in bidding for Doku last year after the move collapsed due to a bizarre mix-up with the club thinking the teen was signing for Chelsea instead.

Doku's parents revealed that their initial talks with Jurgen Klopp had him describe the starlet as 'Sadio Mané's long-term successor' and at just 16, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Ajax and PSV were also interested in his services.

"My preference was Liverpool," said Doku's father David. "How we were received there, damn. Trainer Klopp explained how he saw a potential successor to Sadio Mané in Jérémy. Steven Gerrard showed us videos with tactical analysis."

Liverpool fans are delighted that the club have reignited their interest in £5.4million-rated Doku (Transfermarkt), with one supporter describing the Belgian as being 'on another planet' with his talent.

What do you make of 'the next Sadio Mané', Reds? Would you take Doku at Liverpool?
