Sadio Mané has become another injury worry for Jurgen Klopp after suffering a broken bone in his left hand while on international duty with Senegal. The winger joins Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah who both returned to Liverpool this week to have injuries monitored ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town.
Images on Twitter have shown Mané’s left hand heavily strapped after Senegal beat Sudan 3-0 in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday. The 26-year-old will miss Tuesday’s return-leg tie, while he could also be ruled out of Saturday’s trip to the Terriers, although the consequences of the injury aren’t clear yet.
Liverpool fans however aren’t very happy after already having to hold their breaths on the fitness of Van Dijk and Salah. Some fans also feel that the fact that they face Huddersfield could be a good reason to hand these players a rest in order to recover completely.
Here are some of their best reactions to the news on Mané:
Last time LFC weren’t affected by injuries during an international break?

Good chance for Shaqiri or Studge

Against Hudds and Cardiff next maybe we shouldn’t risk it – maybe name him as a sub and let Shaq/Studge start in his place…

Having the best squad we have had for years will be pointless if at least one of Shakiri or Fabinho don’t come in this week.
