Liverpool fans react to the Fifpro World XI nominations

Liverpool supporters have been in high spirits in recent times after seeing their side enter the season’s first international break with a 100% record in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their encounter with Leicester City last time out having won each of their first three league games, beating West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Brighton all without conceding a goal. And while the Reds weren’t quite at their best at the King Power Stadium last weekend, they got the job done thanks to first half strikes from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, as although Rachid Ghezzal got one back for the hosts, it wasn’t enough to spur the Foxes into a late comeback.

Thus, there have been many thrilled Liverpudlians up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have been reacting to the news that four Reds players have been shortlisted for the FIFA FIFpro World 11.

Mane, Mohamed Salah, Dejan Lovren, and Virgil Van Dijk formed part of the 55 footballers who received the most nominations to thus make their way onto the shortlist, and given the season the Reds had last term, it’s not a huge surprise to see the quartet in the running for the World 11.

And while many fans showed their delight for the aforementioned four, many have been saying the same thing on Twitter regarding the omission of £100,000-a-week ace Roberto Firmino (as per Spotrac)…
